Title:   Girls JV Tennis Coach

Position Type: Supplemental

Reports to: Athletic Director

Qualifications:

Experience in the designated sport

• Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education, ODE and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
• Prior coaching experience preferred
• Van certification preferred

 Essential Job Functions:

• Assist the head coach in the supervision and instruction of the GHHS boys tennis team consisting of approximately 10-12 girl student-athletes. 
• Assist Head Coach in scheduling tennis matches.
• Conduct regular practices for the team.
• Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
• Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
• Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
• Coaching will require five days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
• Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
• Work under the direction of the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach and the Athletic Director
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Working Conditions

• Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
• Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
• Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read
• Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
