Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a Middle School Girls' Soccer Coach for the 2026-27 school year.  Please see the job description below for more details. Job Description

 
 
Title:                Girls’ Middle School Soccer Coach
 
Position Type: Supplemental
 
Reports to:      Athletic Director
 
 
Qualifications:

  • Experience in the designated sport
  • Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
  • Prior coaching experience preferred
  • Van certification preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise and instruct the girl’s Middle School soccer team consisting of approximately 12-20 student-athletes.
  • Conduct regular practices for the team.
  • Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
  • Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
  • Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests.  15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
  • Supervise and travel with the team to all contests
  • Work with the other Coaches to schedule future contests.
  • Work with the Coaches to order necessary apparel and equipment.
  • Handles all fundraising projects in which athletes are engaged
  • Approves any expenditures from the activity account
  • Handles disciplinary problems that arise following the rules set down in the athletic code of conduct
  • Works with administration, faculty, parent groups, and athletes to coordinate information
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
