Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a Boys Golf JV Coach for the 24-25 season!
Title: Boys Golf, JV Coach
Position Type: Supplemental
Reports to: Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit.
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Van certification preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and instruct the Boys’ JV Golf team consisting of approximately 8-9 student-athletes.
- Conduct regular practices for the team.
- Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
- Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests
- Work with the Athletic Director and/or Head Coach to schedule future contests.
- Work with the Athletic Director and/or Head Coach to order necessary apparel and equipment.
- Handles all fundraising projects in which athletes are engaged
- Handles disciplinary problems that arise following the rules set down in the athletic code of conduct in conjunction with the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
- Works with administration, faculty, parent groups, and athletes to communicate team information.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Head Boys Golf Coach.
Working Conditions:
- Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
- Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
- Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read
- Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
